BI Book AI - How it works and what activating it means
BI Book AI is built on the BI Book Reports' underlying Power BI Datasets. There is always a dataset underlying any report. This means that users with access to a report will get access to the complete underlying dataset through BI Book AI's chat functionality.
If this is not ideal, contact your analyst to apply row level security on the parts of the dataset that cannot be shared with all users before activating BI Book AI.
Row Level Security
In reports where "row level security" has been enabled, BI Book AI will apply the same rules when you chat with your report as when you open a report in BI Book. But! Before activating BI Book AI note that you or your analysts might have implemented the RLS rules whilst considering how it looks and behaves on the report. However, now you need to double check that the rules are implemented correctly for the complete dataset.
For this reason, we have chosen to not automatically make row level security reports available. They will only be available once an admin has enabled it in the underlying report settings. We recommend contacting the analyst who manages your reports for support regarding this.
Visuals Generated by BI Book AI
Visuals generated when chatting with BI Book AI are based on AI generated queries towards the dataset. The actual visuals of the BI Book report has nothing to do with BI Book AI, only the underlying dataset of the visuals.
Note: We strive for accuracy, but AI is fallible; the Agents may occasionally provide incorrect, outdated, or incomplete information. Please verify critical details independently before making decisions.
We hope you enjoy this feature and create awesome insights with it!
