The latest BI Book release is here. This update brings a refreshed look and smoother experience, faster performance under the hood, new features in the Store, and a set of smaller improvements — all covered below.

🎉New BI Book UI

The bright green era of BI Book has come to an end. In its place: a fresh, calmer look built on clarity and consistency — so the focus stays where it belongs, on your data.

From now on you can adapt BI Book to the way you like to work. You can pick the display mode that suits you: light, dark, or system.

🎉Store: more visibility and control over your data refreshes

This release makes it easier to see what's happening with your data — and to refresh exactly what you need.

• Refresh history for every connector. You can now view the refresh history behind each activated connector, so it's easy to check when data was last updated and spot any failed runs. We're rolling this out connector by connector, so it will become available for yours over the coming weeks.

• Transparent activation pipeline. Activations are no longer a black box — you can now follow their progress and see exactly where each one stands. Like refresh history, this is being enabled per connector, so availability may vary at first.

• Refresh by process. Endpoints can now be grouped into processes and refreshed together. Want a process set up for your environment? Contact us and we'll configure it for you. Once in place, you can refresh exactly the data you need — no more triggering endpoints one by one.

🎉Improved session activity detection

Working inside a report now counts as being active. Previously, switching between report pages or interacting with them — filtering, using writeback visuals — didn't register as activity, so users could be logged out mid-work. That's fixed: as long as you're working in a report, your session stays open.

🎉See your contact person directly in the Company Portal

You now always know who's looking after your reporting. Your contact person is visible in the Company Portal, so when you have a question, you know exactly who to turn to.

🎉Faster and more reliable under the hood

Not everything in this release is visible on the surface. We've optimised memory use across BI Book for faster load times and a smoother experience, improved the reliability of data refresh statuses, and upgraded several core technologies the platform is built on. You won't see these changes directly, but you'll feel them.

✨Other improvements

• Full screen navigation fixed. You can now move between report pages in full screen mode, even when page navigation is hidden in the report itself. Previously, entering full screen with hidden navigation left you stuck on a single page.

• User group member counts corrected. User Groups now show the accurate number of members. Previously, the member count displayed for a group could differ from its actual membership.

• Cleaner text wrapping in analytics navigation. Long report and page names now wrap between whole words instead of breaking mid-word, making the navigation easier to read at a glance.
